Family Background

Parents: Elodie and Kristophe Quest

Parents Background: Elodie and Kristophe were born in Finland and France respectively. They met whilst both at a summer camp for young people interested in politics and international magical relations, when they were both 22 years old.

Family Beliefs: They are both atheists but Kristophe has studied Religious Philosophy in depth and is therefore very interested in religion and spirituality. A trait that many say he has passed on to his son. Elodie practices Buddhist meditation, another trait passed on to her son.

Family Social Status: Both came from families who had enough money and therefore they both had a good financial start in life. However, with the whirlwind of their romance and their desire to travel and explore, their savings diminished. At no point have they been poor, but they now work hard for their money. Elodie works as a magical sports coach (yoga) and also designs, makes and sells trinket boxes in her spare time. Kristophe continues to study all manner of subjects and if often an invited speaker at several international magical events around the world to share his knowledge and experience.

Relationship with Parents: Aquila’s relationship with my parents was and continues to be great. He gets on equally well with both of them and when he was younger, his parents enjoyed sharing their knowledge with him and inviting him to join in with what they were doing.

Educational Background

Place of Study: Aquila was homeschooled as me and his parents spent his childhood travelling the world. He was always a keen learner so he worked well but my parents were very happy to let him learn by himself.

Likes: He loved history and discussions about philosophy. When he was young, he had a pet, Puffskein, which he took with him everywhere and chatted to throughout the day. He had a wonderful imagination and liked to write stories.

Dislikes: He hated when people made fun of muggles and he also hated cabbage and swede.

Worst Prank: A few of his muggle friends from school taught him how to use a whoopee cushion but he accidentally exploded it before it was used.

Childhood Best Friend: His childhood best friend is called Eric, he was a boy in his class when he attended muggle school for a year in Denmark. They kept in contact even after Aquila left and they now write to each other regularly. Eric has 2 kids that Aquila is a godfather to both.

Behaviour in School: He never went to school to study magic but when he studied, he was really interested in it. He always had his head in a book or went outside to discover new things. He was and continued to be a total nerd and geek, and is super proud of that.

First Relationship: Matilda Prose, a girlfriend Aquila had when he was 16 years old. They lasted 2 days and then decided to be study buddies instead as they were both far more interested in books than each other. They remained good friends now.

Career

Job before becoming a Professor in Hogwarts: Teaching at a school in Nepal for magical children from 5-7 years old.

How he/she became a Professor: Aquila noticed the vacancy and made an application to the Headmaster (Balog). He gave a short presentation and outlined his views and lesson plans.

Why that course: He studied history, philosophy and ghoul studies for many years and thought that he could create a course suited to the students at Hogwarts, one that students would enjoy and that would encourage them to go further in their studies and learning.
