Parents: Henrick Prince & Aludra (nee Burke) Prince

Parents Background:  the Prince family is quite the typical pureblood family. They kept up the old family traditions and tried their best to keep their lines pure. With the parting of Henrick's sister, Eileen, the family grew tense knowing that mingling with muggles was becoming far more popular in present days and highly encouraged their children to find pureblood spouses.

They fled Britain in 1972 when the newly married couple was approached by figures speaking of war. Their beliefs were similar, but neither Henrick nor Aludra was comfortable in being an active participant in the overtaking they knew would soon take place. They purchased a plantation where they could leave in peace and solitude and raise their future children.

Relationship with Sibling(s): Audrey and Emmerich were never very close due to their eight year gap in age. She was only three when he began to attend Hogwarts and he never really cared much during the holidays to bother with her. While he is a bit protective, Emmerich only reacts do to family loyalty and protecting what (in his sight) was a weaker link in the family.

Educational Background

Place of Study: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (1986-1992)

Childhood Best Friend: Prince and his school pal, Crys Nott, decided to travel the world for a year, visiting places that they learned about in school. They visited ancient civilizations and learned about the charms of Egypt, divination in China, Transfiguration in Europe and the Americas and Numerology in the Mayan temples.

Interesting Info: Emmerich was born in the United States of America, in the state of Kentucky to his parents. He remained on their plantation until four months before his eleventh birthday when his parents decided that they wanted him to attend Hogwarts. They decided he would live with his paternal grandparents, Alric and Geraldine Prince, for the duration of his school years. With the decision made, Prince packed his trunk and left for the United Nations. It was with his grandparents that he opened his first Hogwarts Letter and went shopping for his school supplies.

Relationships

First Relationship: Over the years, Prince focused primarily on his career and hobbies without much draw towards relationships. Even at thirty-nine, the number of serious relationships he had experienced in his lifetime could be easily counted on one hand. To this day, the most serious was his Hogwarts Sweetheart, Melanie Silvers.

Marital Status: Engaged

How he/she met his/her spouse: Halfway through his third year, Prince met Melanie Silvers for the first time and the two immediately bonded. She was a year his senior, but since both were sorted into Ravenclaw, he found it easy to get to know her. They became quick friends and since she was a year above him, she was able to show him sneak peeks into his future studies. They dated for several years until Prince approached his parents about officially courting her after graduation. His parents disapproved of her less-than-pure lineage and refused to bless the union. The tension from that decision caused them to drive apart and eventually separate. For over two decades, they completely lost touch from one another. Since then, a few ladies have weaved their way into Emmerich’s attention, but none have won him over. None but Melanie Silvers.

Job before becoming a Professor in Hogwarts: Running a business

How he/she became a Professor: Prince contacted his former Professor, McGonagall, and she offered him a role at Hogwarts to instruct seminars on wandlore and wandcraft for NEWT level students.

In 2007, he began his new position as a seminar instructor and loved the experience of teaching alongside his own professors and being able to share his passion with the upcoming generation. His career furthered when the previous Transfiguration professor left in 2014 upon accepting another position at a different school and Prince took over the department, glad to have a full staff position at last. He remains in this position to this day.
