The next morning, each girl stumbled out of bed and went to breakfast. Emily was straightening her Hufflepuff Tie when Helena came into the room. She said in a matter-of-factly tone " You are supposed to go to the first lesson in 10 minutes. You havn't even eaten breakfast! I came to give you this and show you our first class." She handed Emily a buttered toast. Emily mumbled thank you and gobbled up the toast. Soon, Helena was leading Emily to her first class. It was Potions.

They opened a dark dungeon and walked into the room silantly. There were a few Slytherin students, all in gangs or with best friends. There were Hufflepuff's too! A girl called Alice and a few others. A peculiar girl called Wisdom was sitting alone. She looked as if she would bite your head off if you dare talk to her! Emily decided that she would be Helena's friend. Her best one in fact! Then, suddenly, the door was flung open and a very beady eyed professor stepped into the room. Emily felt very scared of him. The lesson went very smoothly and Emily gained confidence. She even answered a qestion! Well, it was a big achievment for her as she was always quit. Then, at the end of the lesson the professor called out " Wisdom, Emily, Narcissa and Claire! Come to me!"

All four girls came to the teacher. He rapped on the table and started scolding Claire and Narcissa angirly. Emily shuddered to think of what he was going to say to her! But she was scared for no reason! " Emily and Wisdom, I would like to say a very well done to you! You have both produced amazing quelety work! Better than the 3rd and maybe 4th years! If you carry on like this, you will get and outstanding in my class! Now, go to your next class, it's Charms." Said the Professor proudly. Wisdom smiled for the first time and Emily felt very joyful! Bieng praised in her first ever lesson!

She skipped to the next class, feeling happy. You never can guess what grade she got in charms. O! She was feeling very proud of herself as she walked to the Lunchhall. She saw Margo and ran to her to share her happiness to her sister! But Margo just said " Get away! I need peace with Amina!" So Emily trotted off. Her spirits rised again when she told that to Kate and Grace for both girls praised he warmly. It was good to have such fine elder sisters!
