Ellie Goulding Talks About Brightest Blue

The amazing artist Ellie Goulding, well known for her outstanding single
Lights, released her fourth album last year. The 34 year old has also recently given birth to her first child, but back to her music.

Brightest Blue was released in July of 2020. The album features amazing songs like Sixteen and Hate Me, which both were big hits. During an interview on Brightest Blue the artist states, “It was pretty cool and very empowering.” After being asked about directing her music video for Power herself, which was shot during the lockdown. “It was more like embracing yourself by yourself.” Goulding added when further questioned about her song.

After releasing Delirium, Goulding states that it was about three years of touring, and that she traveled around the world twice. After all this pressure, she knew she needed a break, so she moved away to a place where she could be semi-anonymous for a while. It was roughly five years before she began working on Brightest Blue, and released the album. “I just did not feel ready to like, embark, on all that craziness.” She stated after being asked about her long break. We can all understand that. Nobody wants to go right back to a busy life after three years of it. Goulding really needed a break.

Brightest Blue is by far her best album yet. The songs are well written and you can tell she put a lot of work into them. We cannot wait to see where the artist goes next!
