this is my notes through out my year one! it includes all the year one subjects which are astronomy, charms, defence against the dark arts, herbology, potions, history of magic and transfiguration. come back or add to your bookshelf as i update this books and i hope this would help load of people! currently not updating as i am having exams! ( I am currently a student in the muggle world too, sorry if i can’t update on time)

Lesson #1 Herbology
Chapter 4
based on my herbology professor's given lesson material.
What is herbology??
- the study and use of magical and non magical plants
- plants can be used for medicinal, protective, educational or purely decorative purposes
- non-magical plants are equally as important as a magical plant, do not underestimate it
- herbologists are any witch or wizard who understands the properties and nature of plants
- wizardkind can always benefit greatly form the study of plants, however, do not get it wrong as it can lead to dire consequences
- herbology is useful in ways such as : when you need to tell the difference between elder and holly wood wands during duels, the need to use it to treat patients, the use of it to brew potions and to keep the ecosystem in check
that's all the herbology materials I have received for lesson one. feel free to use any of those tips in essays or read up some books from the hogwarts library!
