Chapter Two (Ilaria's POV)

Chapter 4

As I laid in bed that night, all I could think about was the letter. I got accepted! I actually did it! I was in shock for the entire night. It just didn't seem real, no matter how hard I tried to convince myself. I guess I never understood how I would feel once I got my letter. I wasn't prepared to feel this much excitement. I guess it's true what my parents said, "You'll never truly experience it unless it happens."

I never believed them of course, I tried to imagine the thoughts I would have after receiving acceptance for Hogwarts. They were a huge understatement now that I knew what they truly were.

I don't think my sisters found it easy to sleep either. I saw Fallon sitting up in her bed with a huge smile on her face, reading one of her many Hogwarts books, while Asteria was moving restlessly in her sheets. I wasn't sure what our parents thought exactly, but we knew they were proud of us. And we were proud of each other. All three of us knew we had worked hard. There wasn't a doubt in our minds that we all deserved our letters. That was the thought that managed to get me to sleep. I was satisfied.

The following morning, we were up earlier than the sun. Mother insisted we started preparations for Hogwarts as soon as we possibly could.

"Better late than the day of, I always say!" she exclaimed, whipping open our blinds, the morning sun pouring in, "Now all three of you get up, there are oats on the table." and she was out faster than we knew.

Groggily, I got up, followed by Fallon and then Asteria (She always takes the longest, God knows why she is a sloth by morning and cheetah by night).

"Do you know why Mother decided to get us up before the rooster?" Fallon asked while brushing out her dark brown hair. I was always envious of it. It would be a dream to have her goddess-like hair.

I shook my head and threw on a sweater, "Not a clue."

Asteria yawned and washed her face with cold water before piping in, "Do you think she'll let us buy our pets?"

Fallon's eyes immediately lit up at those words. She's has been dying to get a cat for as long as I can remember. She wanted a tabby cat desperately. I myself preferred a black cat, but that was me.

"Oh I hope so!" she said, "That would be a dream."

I laughed, "What would you name this cat? I'm sure you've thought of something.:"

Fallon nodded, of course, and beamed brightly, "Her name would be Karma, I think thats a very suitable name."

"Karma???" Asteria teased, "What kind of name is that?"

Sensing an intense argument coming, I interrupted before any more words were exchanged, "I THINK that is a perfect name Fallon, you should most certainly go with that." I said, leading Fallon away towards the door not forgetting to shoot Asteria a daring look.

Downstairs, three bowls of oats were waiting for us patiently, as were our parents.

"Now hurry up and eat fast, we are meeting some old family friends in Diagon Alley.".....
