Chapter 9 - Risu
Chapter 9
After all of them woke up a few minutes after they hit the ground, Risu realized that Nokuma was hugging him, and he blushed way too hard for a normal human. The fact that Nokuma did so to shield Risu from the debris and injury did not calm Risu down, it only made him blush even harder. Nokuma went up to him and asked, "Why are you so damned red? Did you get Hertz?" Risu didn't get the pun at first, but he blushed harder again after he realized that Nokuma was trying to calm him down. He replied, "Yeah, uh, I'm alright, just really um, sunburnt, I guess." Sujin came and helped Risu up with his wing, and said, "So, for one, we have really good news and mildly bad news. Which one first?" Nokuma and Risu both replied, "Bad. No mood to. Continue please." Sujin then said, "K. So the bad news is, its 30 miles to the nearest city, and it's nautical miles, not regular miles. But the good news is, the city is friendly, as the city is Aorevia City." Risu perked up at the good news, as before his father went off to search for Soverai, they read on it and found out that Aorevia was the second most prosperous city, after Soverai. Also, the ruler of Aorevia was always the youngest cousin of the king of Soverai, so things would be looking good in Aorevia. Only thing is, Aorevia didn't call their citizens Comrades, they called them Aoire which made the citizens sound like one person. Why do I keep getting off track? Let's continue. So, they set off to find a boat, or at least suitable materials for one that could last 30 miles. After a few hours, they found a narrow strip of land that no one else saw. They went to the strip, when Sujin said, "Oh wait, I forgot to tell you that there was a piece of land connecting this area to Aorevia, and it seems that we have found it." They sighed in relief and started to walk across it, when Sujin was on the other side (Did I mention he could fly? I forget.) and Risu and Nokuma were halfway, they suddenly got pulled down to the depths of the ocean. Sujin screamed for help, but Risu knew it was useless, as they were already near the sea floor. He tried to grasp Nokuma's hand before they both would pass out, and when he found it, they both fainted from the water in their lungs. The last thing they saw was a city glowing purple and yellow lights, and the gates to it. Risu started to snore underwater, despite the water. He just wanted to go back home, and maybe eat a bunch of his mom's mini cakes.
