Chapter 8 - Nokuma
Chapter 8
Finally watching his father's training became useful, Nokuma thought. He was kind of surprised that he still remembered the moves his father did during the training sessions he had with a tree trunk. He just broke out of his trap and started wheeling on the lions, without any weapons except his school-provided necktie. He didn't think much until he found the lion who caught him on the floor, and suddenly he had the instinct to remove his necktie and strangle the lion. He kept standing his ground until Risu tapped his shoulder and said, "Noku, you saved us. Thanks but please explain how you know how to fight later. Thank you again." After Nokuma heard this, he blushed deep red head to toe and stammered, "I- uh, ummm... okay, uh... y- you're we-welcome, I guess." Risu helped him up and helped him walk all the way in front of the king's throne, as Nokuma was really tired from fighting a fully grown lion. They bowed to the king, and the king said, "You are intruding on my borders. I usually kill them first, but I decided to spare you intruders some mercy, after seeing this one fight." The king flicked his tongue at Nokuma, and he continued, "I will hear an explantion of where you come from, and if I consider you safe, you may stay here for three days. After three days, you must leave. Explain to me now." Nokuma shuddered at the thought of the King not considering them safe, and after he took a look at Sujin and Risu, he saw that they were shivering too, and immediately became more worried. He stepped back one step, and Risu spoke up, "Why me? Oh well." He guessed that Sujin had stepped back too, so he stayed there for extra safety for a while. Minutes later, as Risu explained how they ended up there, Sujin nodded at Nokuma. He was quite worried of why Sujin would not at him, but then Sujin dashed through the tunnel behind the throne, as it was still open. He finally understood what the nod meant, and grabbed Risu's hand, exerted extra strength, and got Risu in his arms, bridal-style. Then he kept running to the exit, when the King threw a rock as large as a chair at the top of the tunnel, making it start to collapse. Nokuma shrieked and kept running, and before the tunnel could close up, he switched position to make him hug Risu in one jump, and he leaped as high as he can, just in time for the rock to collapse after he tumbled through the tunnel, hugging Risu and hoping that he would be safe from injuries. Back in the throne room, the king was roaring in anger, as the only trace of the intruders was a thick black necktie. Back to the trio. As they were tumbling, they soon reached the exit and fell out of the hole, resulting in the most weirdest positions ever. They passed out almost as soon as they hit the ground, looking the most relieved they had ever been.
