Ten Things You May Not Know About Other Magical Schools (Informative)
Chapter 3
Hey! I hope you are well! Here is some information about Castelobruxo, Beauxbatons, Ilvermorny, Uagadou, and other schools for the wizarding world! Enjoy it!
Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is attended not only by witches and wizards from France, but also from Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and Belgium.
The arts play a very important role at Beauxbatons Academy, and this is shown in every aspect of everyday life. Music, for example, is of paramount importance even during lunch, where nymphs with sweet melodies are tasked with entertaining students.
Castelobruxo Magic School, located in an Amazon forest, is protected from the Muggles, since anyone who approaches it sees only ruins in front of it–the same thing happens with Hogwarts. But which school first implemented the idea? No one knows for sure, but the informal rivalry over who had the lead in this spell continues to this day.
4. Castelobruxo, although located in South America, is the only one that has an "Erasmus" program, as for many years it has been carrying out a program of having exchange pupils with the other magic schools, offering excellent studies in the magical fauna and flora of South America. If the cost wasn't so big, Bill Weasley would be studying there.
5. At the Uagadou School of Magic, Africa's most famous, wizards use their finger or palm to do magic and don't need a wand.
6. Uagadou's address is "The Mountains of the Moon" and visitors talk of an impressive structure carved on the mountainside, drenched in fog, which sometimes appears to hover.
7. At Japan's magic school, Mahoutokoro, the cloaks of students change their size and color, depending on the abilities of the wearer. In fact, cloaks become white if the wizard or witch violates a school rule or experiments with dark magic, and so they are expelled immediately. Every day the students move to and from Mahoutokoro with a flock of giant seabirds.
8. The students of Uagadou–thanks to the specialization of the school in Transfiguration–from an early age can transform into various animals and even make related demonstrations, with synchronized Transformations.
9. At Koldovstoretz, Russia's magic school, students play Quidditch on trees instead of broomsticks!
10. The American Ilvermorny magic school, located in Massachusetts, was founded by a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, Isolt Sayre, and her muggle (or, no-maj, as the Americans say) husband, James Steward, who among other things became a rabbi, providing students with the appropriate equipment for their studies.
Hope you liked it! See you next weekend!
