"Professor McGonogall" said Veronica.

A Tall beautiful black haired witch with green robes."She looks hot and tough". Said Cera.Treesa nodded.

The Entrance hall was already filled with students.

"Follow me".Professor McGonogall took the students to an empty chamber.

"This is the best part. We will be sorted to four different houses".Cera was excited.Treesa grabbed Cera's hand.She was very nervous.

"Don't worry. Just wish for the house you want to get in to and the sorting hat will consider your wish.We both know our house".Cera winked at Treesa.She just smiled.Veronica was listening to their conversation.Veronica looked at Sai.He was standing there without joining the conversation.

"Welcome to Hogwarts".Said Professor.Everyone became silent.“ Before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts."

"She said the exact same words to my older sister's batch." A fat boy who was eating chocolates said. 

“The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rulebreaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours.

The sorting will be at The Great Hall. Please wait Here and I'll return when we are ready".She left the chamber.

"So Veronica,which House do you prefer?Cera asked with a smile."Gryffindor".Veronica had no doubt."Oh,Okay".Cera looked surprised."I really thought you would select Ravenclaw or Maybe Slytherin".She replied."Slytherin? Ofcourse not. I heard some bad rumours about them.What about you guys?".For their attitude and positive presence these girls should be in Gryffindor or maybe Hufflepuff.Veronica thought.But Cera surprised her.

She moved closer to Veronica and whispered. "Slytherin".

"I guess we wont be in the same house".Veronica was embarased.It would have been very nice if these two were near.She thought.

"Yeah.But that's all right. We can still be friends.What about him?" Cera pointed towards Sai."I don't know.I dont't know anything about him.We just met".Veronica replied.

"Really?.I thought you guys were friends".

"The Sorting Ceromony is about to get started".Professor McGonogall announced."Form a line and follow me".

Veronica was behind Cera who was behind Treesa.She looked towards the place where Sai stood. He was not there.She looked back and noticed that he was just behind her.

I wonder which house would be his.She thought.The hall was looking really amazing. It's just like what's written in the books.

Professor McGonagall placed a four-legged stool in front of the first years and put the famous sorting hat on top of the stool.

The process started.It was no different from what Veronica knew.As they said Cera and Treesa where sorted to Slytherin.

"Featherstone Veronica"

Her name was announced.She was very nervous.But as she wished,she was sorted in to Gryffindor.Several Gryffindors greeted her.She saw Cera and Treesa were waving at her. She waved them back.

"Pitchblack Sai". Veronica got anxious.Sai went and sat on the stool.

"Slytherin".Shouted the hat.

And Sai went to join his house."Cera,Treesa and now Sai all were sorted to Slytherin.Maybe I should have gone there too".Veronica felt sorry for herself.No,it was my dream to join Gryffindor.As Cera said we could still be friends.After having food everyone followed the perfects to their dormetories.Veronica slept as soon as she reached the bed.
