Doing Your Homework (Potions Lesson 1)

Chapter 6

Welcome back! I didn't realize how long I had been gone! I was working on other books, but now my one and only focus is this book. While this lesson is different from the others since it is now year 3, it should still help any of you that want it. The lesson one of potions is about the assignments, safety, and grading, but most importantly: about potions.

Potions:

What is a potion?

Well, a potion is a magical combining of both magical and mundane ingredients. It can produce a variety of effects, depending on the ingredients and the reactions with them. While you may think it is a mixture, it is actually a compound, because the ingredients combine with each other to make a new substance, rather then, in a mixture, repel each other, and however small NEVER combine atoms. A mixture could be soil and water. Although it seems that a new substance is created, it isn't, because mud is just a wetter version of soil, the atoms never combine.

You should know that potions should NEVER be consumed or applied to any muggle. It is very dangerous since their blood type is different.

I decided to only briefly go over potions, remember: you should NEVER substitute this for the actual lesson. I am not going over safety for sake of time.

I can't help with the homework since I am in year 2, but I will try to access it.

See you next time!
