gracie was sitting in the common room with jane. it was a couple days after they had arrived at the castle.

        "hey jane?"   asked gracie

       "yeah gracie?"

        "what if my bad luck comes back soon?"

         "but what if it doesnt" jane said. "and think about it gracie. bad luck happened last year, and are okay now?"

        "yeah i guess so."  said gracie. it was around 7:30 pm when this all happened. then, at 7:42 pm, some kids came out of the dorms and into the common room. jane and gracie didnt mind until they saw who it was.

       "elaina!" jane and gracie said as they jumped up.

         "oh hey cupcake doll and shorty" elaina said. elaina was holding a book that spells for enemies on it.

         "what are you doing here with your...... friends?" gracie said as she looked at the small girl samantha who looks like she got dragged into being mean and the body gaurd-like boy who looks like he could kill you in a second.

       "yeah your a slytherin you cant be in our common room." jane says.

     "oh but samantha is in ravenclaw soo.. im technically aloud in here."

    "no! your not! im gonna get a professor." gracie starts to walk away, but before she can, alaina says, 

    "tattletales get more bad luck gracie. oops i meant cupcake doll." and then they went to bed before gracie could do anything.

      right before gracie fell asleep she realized something. something important.
