Hedgehogs
Hedgehogs are night mammals & live in Europe, Asia, & Africa. They have spines (hollow hairs) that are full of keratin & fall out during quilling. To defend themselves, they curl into a ball with their spines spiked outwards.
Pincushions
Pincushions are used to hold pin & needles for sewing items. It was first created in Europe & they have many different stuffing materials so the needles can stay in place.
Spell
Holly Crimp created this spell in 1782. She desired a pincushion that her hedgehog wouldn't chew on. This transfiguration is used mostly by seamstresses when sewing clothes & fabrics together. Visualize the hedgehog altering into the pincushion. If the spell fails, it will cause the hedgehog to still have consciousness, meaning the creature will feel everything.
