Chapter Three: Life as a First Year

Chapter 3

Harry Potter arrived at Hogwarts for the first time without event, and was sorted into Gryffindor house, like his parents before him. He made the aquintence of Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley, fellow Gryffindors, and they struck up a friendship.

According to Hogwarts Headmisstress Minerva McGonnagall, the three were 'often in trouble, especially the boys.' Young Harry and his friends stuck their noses in the private buisness of teachers such as Professer Severus Snape, intruded on former Headmaster Albus Dumbledore as if he was a family friend, and broke school rules again and again for personal gain.

Rumors have been substantiated by former students and staff that Harry Potter, with the help of his friends, fought his way through an obstacle course set up by staff to protect the sorcerer's stone, fighting his way through a three-headed dog with the help of half-giant Rubeus Hagrid, defeating a Devil's Snare plant, and using his quidditch skills to find a key which opened a door barring his entry to the next room. Harry then sacrificed his bossom friend Ron Weasley to a giant chess set, Harry and Hermione Granger moved on to a logical obsticale which his friend solved for him. To thank her for her help, he allowed her to go back to safety.

What happened after, no one is really certain but Harry Potter himself. It is widely accepted that he faced the Dark Lord, and with his great abilities was able to defeat him from such a young age.

Recognition must be given to young Harry's quidditch history, as it took up a great bit of his time at school. Although most players must wait until their second year to start playing on the quidditch team, Harry was made seeker only weeks into his first year. His talents not only magical and academic, but on the pitch, won him instant popularity, as well as adversity with the Slytherin quidditch team.

Harry's actions (supposedly taken for the safety of the school), as well as those of his friends, earned Gryffindor the house cup for the first time in years. Harry finished his school year quietly and left by train back to the loving embrace of his aunt and uncle.
