Tess Falcon; First Year At Hogwarts {Finished Book}
Nonoahohay Falcon was not a normal person. Normal people aren't born with a wizard for a dad and a mermaid for a mum, witches that get invited to a magical school, get a wand at a wizarding shop, have a godmother that can change her looks at will, can't talk to snakes or are related to the greatest known Dark wizard of all time. Nonoahohay (or Tess) has no idea of the challenges and hardships she will face as she goes through her first year at Hogwarts.

The Sorting Hat
Chapter 7
We were lead into an even bigger room then the Entrance Hall. Ginny whispered, "The Great Hall. Fascinating! See the ceiling, Tess? It's bewitched to look like the sky outside!" We looked at it, and in the "sky" I noticed what looked like a flying car! I was obviously just seeing things with the light. No biggie. Candles were floating in midair above four LONG tables that tons of kids were sitting at, talking away as if their lives depended on it.
Then a small old man brought in a stool and an old, worn hat. He set it in the middle of the hall, and it opened its "mouth" and sang a song. I wasn't really paying attention, for there was elephants in my stomach instead of butterflies. Professor McGonagall opened a scroll and read, "Abros, Kate." A tall, black-haired girl with green eyes sat on the stool boldly. The hat, after a short pause, shouted, "SLYTHERIN!"
She got off the stool and went to one of the tables, where everyone sitting there was applauding the loudest. Despite what Dracine said, they looked unpleasant. A boy that looked like and older version of Dracine, but with short hair, sat there, and I assumed he was Draco Malfoy. Then I turned back to the stool. Blackburn, Gorgan was Ravenclaw, Beltte, Becky (Gryffindor), Ceppi, Malkin (Hufflepuff), Dipper, Preston (Gryffindor), then Faamo, Adrian (Slytherin).
Professor McGonagall finally said, "Falcon, Nonoahohay!" I nervously walked to the hat. I heard a couple of people laugh. Probably my name. I turned red, and sat on the stool. The hat slipped over my eyes, and a small voice made me jump. "Ah, yes... You seem to have a bit of everything. What house do you want to be in?"
I thought, "Please don't put me in Slytherin... Please..." "Not Slytherin? Well, you don't seem like a Slytherin, although I think you will like a boy in Slytherin. You seem that type." Draco's face swam into my mind. I made a disgusted face under the hat. "No? Better be HUFFLEPUFF!" He yelled the last word so the whole hall could hear. I took off the hat and went over to the Hufflepuff table.
I watched Sarah get Hufflepuff, along with Abigail. Ginny got Gryffindor, and Quinn got Ravenclaw. Dracine's wish was fufilled; she got Slytherin the moment the hat touched her head. An old man stood up and started to talk. I didn't pay attention, for I saw Draco look at me with his head cocked, like a curious cat. I blushed, and then the old man sat down. Food appeared right in front of me. I fell off my seat, then got up, blushing. I piled my plate with everything I could get my hands on. Then dessert appeared. I got some too, then it was time for bed.
A prefect showed the Hufflepuff first years to the common room. I went to the first year girls dormitory, then fell asleep right after I got in my bed. There I had a strange dream. A handsome boy knelt at my feet, grasped my hand, and asked, "Will you marry-" He was shoved aside by Draco, who said, "It is your fate to marry me. The sorting hat said so." I had to say yes. Then we were at our wedding, and the man asked if I really wanted to marry him. "No, no! No... Please, no!" I woke up, still saying it out loud.
