Tess Falcon; First Year At Hogwarts {Finished Book}
Nonoahohay Falcon was not a normal person. Normal people aren't born with a wizard for a dad and a mermaid for a mum, witches that get invited to a magical school, get a wand at a wizarding shop, have a godmother that can change her looks at will, can't talk to snakes or are related to the greatest known Dark wizard of all time. Nonoahohay (or Tess) has no idea of the challenges and hardships she will face as she goes through her first year at Hogwarts.

Chapter 4
I paced my room, glancing at the clock every couple of seconds. It was only one in the morning. I was going to Hogwarts today! I checked my trunk for the eighth time, made sure Gimima was safely tucked in her cage, and collapsed on the bed. I closed my eyes for what felt like hours, then finally fell asleep.
I woke up hearing my mum yell up the stairs that it was time for me to get up or we'll be late, and I probably don't want to miss the train. I grabbed my favorite outfit, put it on, and ran down the stairs. I gobbled up my breakfast, eggs and buttered toast with milk. Then I got in the car where my parents and my two year old little sister, Daisy, were sitting. I sat impatiently in my seat the whole time. We finally arrived at Kings Cross train station.
Mum told me that Daisy was going to be late for her fist day of daycare, and dad said he had to go to work. They both made me promise that I would write to them immediately, and mum burst into tears, saying, "My, y-y-you've g-grown up s-so fast! I'll m-miss you s-so, s-so much!" Finally, after one last apology that they can't see me off, they said goodbye, hugged and kissed me (Daisy wouldn't let go until the last possible moment), and they left.
I went inside, and looked for Platform nine and three-quarters. I found nine, and I found ten, but there was no 9 and 3/4 in sight. I heard voices behind me and I whirled around. There was a group there. I thought they weren't family, because there was a black-haired boy in the midst of seven redheads. Or maybe he was adopted. One of those two. I decided to ask them when I heard one of them say "Hogwarts Express". I went over to them and asked, "Do you know where platform nine and, er, three-quarters is?" A plump women, what looked like the mum, said, "Oh, it's your first year? It's Ginny's too! Yes, you see, you just walk right at the barrier. It may look like you'll crash, but just keep on going." The smallest redhead, and the only girl, smiled at me, and I smiled back.
I ran at the barrier, and went right through it!!!! Ginny and her parents came along next, then identical twins, and last of all, the oldest boy wearing glasses. I waited a bit to see the last redhead and the black-haired boy, but they never arrived, though I thought I heard a crash and an owl screeching. The parents were looking more worried every second, and the big train behind me was just about to move. I ran at the nearest entrance to the train, and Ginny helped me carry my luggage into the train. Then we went to find a seat, and the train slowly started to move.
