Tess Falcon; First Year At Hogwarts {Finished Book}

written by Faye Chuchoter

Nonoahohay Falcon was not a normal person. Normal people aren't born with a wizard for a dad and a mermaid for a mum, witches that get invited to a magical school, get a wand at a wizarding shop, have a godmother that can change her looks at will, can't talk to snakes or are related to the greatest known Dark wizard of all time. Nonoahohay (or Tess) has no idea of the challenges and hardships she will face as she goes through her first year at Hogwarts.

Stealing Back

Chapter 28

Ginny and I were going to steal Tom's diary from Harry's dormitory, but Ginny had a small fever, just big enough to go to the Hospital Wing.  Her cold got worse and worse, then better and better as the days slipped by.  No one had been attacked for nearly four months.  Ginny and I knew that he, at least, hadn't become 'possessed'.  Ginny's fever ended a couple days before the last Quidditch mach of the season.

On the evening before the match, Ginny pulled me aside after our classes were over.  "Let's get Tom's diary tonight."  I asked, "What about Harry?  He'll notice us for sure if we barge in and grab the diary out of his hands or something!"  Ginny leaned forwards and whispered, "I've heard from a reliable source that Harry'll be out with the Quidditch team, practicing.  So do you want to do it?"  I gulped.  "OK."

I waited in the library.  Had Ginny forgotten?  She finally came in the library.  "Come on."  She led me to the Griffindor common room.  She said the password, and we stumbled in.  Quickly and quietly, we sneaked up the staircase to the boy's dormitory.  We arrived and I stepped in first.  "The coast's clear."  I whispered to Ginny, motioning for her to come forwards.

We started to rummage through the closest bed's trunk.  "Nope.  No diary."  Then the next.  "No."  The next, "No!"  Ginny became frantic.  We reached the last bed.  She teared apart the mattress and I helped.  Nothing.  There was nothing in his trunk besides loads of books, and then I reached into a small pocket of the curtain.  I felt a small book.

Reaching in excitedly, I pulled out Tom's diary.  "YES!  I found it!  Ginny, I found it!"  I screamed.  Ginny ran over and grabbed it.  Flipping through the pages, she said excitedly, "Yes!  This is it!!!  This is the diary!"  After hours of searching, we jumped around, then heard footsteps coming up the stairs.  I froze.  Ginny bolted towards the door.  Turns out, it was the restroom door, not the exit.  We went in anyways and closed the door except for a small crack.  I heard Neville come in then gasped.  "What the-"  He bolted down the stairs again.

Ginny peeked out.  "No one."  We tiptoed out and down the stairs.  When we got to the common room, footsteps and voices came from the exit.  I froze, and we both bolted to a table and buried our heads in a random book laying there.  Harry and Ron came in.  Neville ran over to them.  "Harry, I don't know what happened, I just found-"  Harry, Neville, and Ron bolted up the stairs to the dorm as Dean and Seamus came in and came up there, too.  As soon as Dean reached the dorm, I could hear every word they said.  "What happened, Harry?"  "No idea."  "Riddle's diary's gone."  "What?"

I stood up.  Ginny did, too, and she rushed up to her dorm, crying, while I ran to mine.  I laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling.  I'm a robber.  "No I'm not.  It was ours in the first place."  I said to my self.  I stole from the famous, great, good Harry Potter who defeated the greatest wizard of all time.  I shook my head uncertainly.  It wasn't even hers in the first place.  I said, "No, it was."  You never asked where she got it from.  I rolled over.  "No, I was helping a friend."

After a long while, I fell asleep doubtfully.
