On Christmas morning, I awoke early.  There was a large pile of presents by my bed.  I got up and walked over to my door, opened it, and walked over to Ginny's room.  I entered and noticed a pile of presents by her bed too, although her pile was considerably smaller than mine.  I tried to wake her up, but she just grumbled and rolled over.  I shrugged and went back to my bed and sat on it.  I picked up the first present.  

It was from Hannah, a whole jumbo pack of Oreos, my favorite Muggle food in the whole wide world.  The next present was from Quinn, a book called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them," "Hogwarts, a History," and a couple of chocolate frogs.  I rolled my eyes.  "Ravenclaws."  I opened Sarah's present, a pretty ruby necklace.  I opened a present from Ginny's mum and gasped.  She had sewn me a green sweater with a badger on it and underneath, sewn in black and yellow, "Hufflepuff" and a bag of truffles with homemade cupcakes.  I smiled and put the sweater on.  

The next present was from Rebecca, a miniature pig, dog, horse, cat, and owl, all acting like the real things but made out of chocolate.  Abigail gave me a quill that wrote without ink and filled in the best answers to essays by itself.  If you put it on a paper without instructions, it writes a beautiful story or draws a beautiful picture.  Ginny gave me a Hufflepuff hat and scarf for me and a hat, scarf, and coat for Gimima.  

Mum had given me an American Girl Doll with some matching clothes for her and me, but a note said that was dad's present to me. Daisy gave me a cute drawing of me that was really just scribbles.  I opened the last present that I realized had no note on it.  It was a ball with lines and squiggles all over it.  I stared.  "What the-"  A bell rang, and I quickly went downstairs, ready for breakfast.  Mum, dad, Daisy, and Ginny were already there.  Adrian came in and bowed.  "What would you like for breakfast, Miss Falcon?"  I replied, "Er, just a couple of pancakes, please."  Adrian bowed himself out.  

Mum put down her breakfast burrito and said, "So what did you get for Christmas, girls?"  Ginny said, "I got a stuffed animal cat that acts like one from Rebecca, a big jumbo pack of cotton candy from Hannah, a book called 'Quidditch Through the Ages'  with a couple of Cauldron Cakes from Quinn, a book on writing essays from Abigail, an owl that I named Jade from Tess, a pretty crystal bracelet from Sarah, a doll from Mrs. Falcon, clothes for it from Mr. Falcon-"  

"I think they gave you an American Girl Doll."  I interrupted.  Ginny asked, "Wait, what's that?"  My mum answered, "An American Girl Doll is a very expensive doll from America for girls."  I nodded.  Ginny said "Oh.  Anyways, I got a green sweater from mum with some cupcakes and a letter, some Muggle money from Daisy, and my brothers combined their presents for a Cleansweep 7 and a kit to clean it, even though I can't bring it to school."  She looked at me.  I told everyone all of my presents except for the strange ball.  

When we finished breakfast, Ginny and I practiced on her Cleansweep Seven.  We were both really good at Quidditch, even though I've never even played it before.  We used apples for the balls and a soccer net for the hoops.  We spent most of the day playing Quidditch and the rest either thinking about the strange ball which I had decided to tell her about or playing with our new American Girl Dolls.  Before I knew it, the day was over.
