NUCLEUS OF WANDS

Wands have cores made ​​of magical materials. The Ollivander have a phoenix feather core, the unicorn or dragon heartstring fiber.

The following observations on the three main cores for wands used by Mr. Ollivander are taken from their own notes.

Unicorn

By The unicorn usually produces a more consistent type of magic, which is less subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn core are generally more difficult to use for the Dark Arts. Wands are the most reliable, and usually keep a strong connection with its first owner, irrespective of being a wizard or witch drive. Another disadvantage of the unicorn is that they do not make very strong wands (although the wood offset), as they may generate certain melancholy case are very battered, which means that the unicorn can 'die' and need replacing.

Dragon

Phoenix

This is the rarest of the nuclei. Phoenix feathers are capable of doing a wide variety of spells, though it slightly higher than the dragon or unicorn time to reveal it. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are the most critical when it comes to future owners, and the creatures they choose are the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to personalize, and their allegiance is usually hard to conquer.
