Chapter 1

Blood statuses



  • - A squib is someone with a magical parents but no magical ability

  • - Squibs still have a limited ability to detect magical activity and use of magical objects

  • - A muggleborn is someone with muggle parents and a magical ability 

  • - A pureblood is someone with no muggles in their bloodline

  • - A halfblood is someone with one muggle parent and one magical parent (any blood status).


Spellcasting components



  • - Spellcasting components - incantation and pronunciation, wand movement, willpower and concentration

  • - Incantation - the magic words and pronunciation - how you say the words

  • - Wand movement - the shapes you make in the air to help form the spell

  • - Willpower - the magical strength and focus needed to correctly perform a spell

  • - Concentration - centering your mind on the magic and the desired effect in order to make a spell work


Flight charms



  • - Wingardium Leviosa (pronounced win-GAR-dee-um levi-O-sa) - Levitation charm

  • - The levitation charm - not only can the spell be performed from a distance, move up and down and vertically, it can also move back and forth. Height also becomes less of a restriction, this spell is the furthest wizarding world has got to true flight.

  • - Imatation spells of the levitation charm

  • - Hover charm - Levioso (pronounced lev-ee-O-so)

  • - The hover charm - you have to be holding the object when you cast the spell for it to move up and down

  • - Rocket charm - Alarte Ascendare (pronounced A-lar-tay a-SEN-day-ray)

  • - The rocket charm - is the same as the hover charm but you don't have to hold the object for it to float up and down.

  • - Floating charm - Fluito (pronounced floo-EE-toe)

  • - The floating charm - This charm can be performed from a distance and can also have controlled vertical movement when not to high in the air, if it is too high in the air the object can only be moved up and down.

  • - Levitation charm was invented by Jarleth Hobart
