How It All Began
Prologue
After the Dark Lord was vanquished by Harry Potter, not everything went back to normal... Wizarding families now felt safe, there wasn't a reason to fear anymore, for what was there to fear other than fear itself? No more dark magic was used, dark wizards were locked up, and the ministry was back on top of things. All was well and fine...
But the just because all the users of dark magic were confined didn't mean that other selfish and problematic people weren't. Eugene Paris is one of those people. He didn't trust the goblins who were in charge of the wizarding bank, Gringotts. After Harry and his friends were able to infiltrate Bellatrix Lestrange's vault - one of the vaults with the most security - Eugene felt that it was the goblin's fault. They didn't provide enough security to protect the Lestrange's treasures, so how were his riches going to be secure? In Eugene's eyes, the goblins were also just heartless, brainless creatures, who were sneaky and only did things for themselves; they really didn't care about how valuable the riches were that the wizards kept here, all they wanted was paid.
Eugene didn't trust them at all. He asked the court if he would be able to purchase Gringott's and equip it with better staff to better serve the wizarding community. The court at first wasn't very convinced at first, but Eugene had his way of slithering into people's minds and changing a few things. The court finally consented to Eugene Paris's request, as they were persuaded that Goblins couldn't be trusted, and Eugene as quick as he could kicked out all of the goblins. He wouldn't be needing them anymore.
Of course, the goblins weren't pleased with Eugene Paris's decisions. They took their case to court and pleaded for their place back at Gringott's, but the court saw them as obnoxious and selfish and turned them down. The goblins knew that there wasn't anymore peace that could be had between them and these wretched, backstabbing wizards...
Thus starting the Goblin Wars.
