Saron
Chapter 2
- Saron sat alone at the Ravenclaw table, quietly reading a book about Lethifolds. She is wearing a black turtle-neck sweater and black pants along with black boots. Her dark hair goes to her chin and her bangs brush her forehead as she leans forward over her book. She hears the sound of footsteps long before they reach her, and yet she does not move. A hand reaches over her shoulder and grabs her book from her. It is a Gryffindor boy. He throws the book to his friend as Saron stands up and holds out her hand. "I request to have my book returned." She says in a neutral tone. The first boy laughs loudly. "Look, John! The freezer box 'requests' it's book back. Well, sorry ice-cube, but your request has been denied." He says in a mocking tone. Saron returns her hand to her side as John, the second boy, throws her book into the fireplace. The first boy shoves Saron and she catches herself in front of the dancing flames. "Feeling melty yet, snow flake?" He taunts her. She says nothing as the boys walk away, becoming bored. After they leave, she kneels down and uses a metal poker to get her book back. It is almost completely destroyed but she just puts it back in her bag like nothing happened. That's when another person approaches her.
- Saron sat in the forest on her knees, setting down an envelope in a hole at the foot of a large, smooth rock. In the hole were several other envelopes and after she set the current one in, she covered the hole with a large flat stone, than stood up and stared at the rock for a long time. She opened her mouth to say something, than closed it, her face tinting green. She turned around and started marching through the forest back to Hogwarts, than her foot caught on a tree root and she winced as she fell, twisting her ankle. That's when she heard footsteps.
- Saron sat at the Ravenclaw table, which was mostly empty, playing wizard's chess with a house ghost. "Queen to E5." She said, and her piece destroyed the ghost's King. "Checkmate." The ghost grumbled. "Fifth time in a row. I'm done with losing." He said and floated away. Saron reset the chessboard, than tried to figure out how she could play against herself. A group of Gryffindor boys stood by and watched her, than approched after a while. "Hey baby, wanna hang with me sometime?" The tallest one said. Saron looked at him and tilted her head. "No, I would prefer to be alone." She said deadpan. He frowned as she returned to the chess board. He tried again. "I don't think you understand the opportunity you're passing up." He said, moving in front of her. Saron frowned and stood up. "I know perfectly well the decision I'm making." She said and tried to walk away. He stopped her in her tracks. "Hey, let's not be hasty, now." He said and grabbed her wrist. She pulled out of his grasp and stepped back as the other boys formed a wall behind her. "I am very capable of making my own decisions." She said, than turned around to leave, but the other boys stopped her. "What's the problem, freezer box?" The boy said, stepping up to her. Saron considered trying to fight her way out, but decided against it. Than she saw someone else approaching.
