Agent Theed
Chapter 2
The next day, Arcus and I went out to Blimp Express and got a drink at Steambucks Coffee.
"I still can't believe it. Bluesteel! Just a pinch of it is worth a thousand pounds!" Arcus exclaimed.
"I don't know. I don't think we should sell it. I think it has more to it than just clothing." I said
"It was probably designed for protection, with the armor. Battle armor, perhaps?"
"Not sure. Too elegant for that."
We walked to Hotel Melk, where we found Jonas Griorgair.
"Ah, isn't it mister Dwight Larken and his ol' friend Arcus Kern!" Jonas called.
"Jonas, you worked in Royals a long time ago, right?" I asked.
"Yes, until I gave it to you when I got too old and retired."\
"We need you to come over. We found a strange outfit, and I think it was made in Royals."
We led Jonas to the shop and showed him the outfit we were psyched so much about.
"Hmm... silver armor, velvet coat, leather gloves studded with... what is this? Wait, no, can it be...? It can't be! Is this bluesteel?"
"Yes, we were excited about that part. But do you recognize this?" I asked.
"... No, I'm afraid I do not. That's amazing though, it's the first time I've ever seen an actual bluesteel in my life of 75 years."
After Jonas left, we sat down on the table.
"What to do with this now?"
"No idea."
"I still can't believe this."
"Me neither."
"Hey, Dwight, someone came in."
I turned around to see a man with a white fedora and goggles with gears on it.
"I must ask, are you Arcus Kern?"
"No, I'm Dwight Larken. Arcus is this person over here," I said, pointing at Arcus.
"I am Agent Theed, and came here to get Arcus Kern, who is wanted by the government for treason."
"What? What for?" Arcus blurted.
"That is not in the circle of my knowledge. Now if you would come with me, that would be great."
Arcus suddenly drew out his laser staff and shot it at the Agent Theed's knee.
"Agh!" Theed exclaimed.
I realized that I must protect Arcus from Theed.
"Run, Arcus! I'll hold him back!" I shouted as I shot Theed's jet pack with a flintlock pistol.
"What about you, Dwight?"
"I'll be with you shortly!"
I shot Agent Theed a couple more times and dashed out of the shop while the smoke blinded Theed. I activated my helicopter pack and flew to Arcus, who was waiting over at the abandoned hideout with his own helicopter pack running.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I shot Theed a couple times and got out here."
"We better get outta here."
"Yeah, but later. It's getting dark now."
"Yeah. I don't like this place, though. But I guess it's the only place we can stay for now."
