All throughout the day since the train ride Hermione had had her head in the clouds about anything and everthing. Hermion wasn't even paying attention to the sorting cermiony till McGonagall said it was over. 

"Mione, Mione, Mione you in there?" Ginn snapped her fingers in front of Hermione's face.

"Oh what? Sorry  Gin I just have a lot on my mind right now."

"I know, your worried about Ron and Harry in Auror training; your duties as Head Girl how to deal with Malfoy; and of course as always your worried too much about your studies. Honestly Mione you need to relax I mean you are the Brightest Witch of our Age."

" You know Ginny your not very help...."

"Shh, McGonagall's talking"

"Alright everyone now that the sorting cermony is done I have a few annoucements. First off I would like to congratulate this years Head Boy and Girl, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger. Second The Forbidden Forest is off limits to all students and if caught the student or students will be put in detention. Also this years new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is none other then the renowed Curse-Breaker Patricia Rakepick. Lastly I know many of you lost someone during the war if any of you ever need to talk my door is always open. That is all, if you have any further questions please consult either me or one of the other teachers. May the feast begin."

Hrmione couldn't explain it but it felt like a huge part of her was missing. It felt so different without Harry, Ron, and especially Dumbledore. She wondered what it would be like without them. Hermione pushed that thought out of her head and decided to focus on her dinner. Hermione put pasta, garlic bread, and salad on her plate. 

"So Hermione are you going to send a letter to Harry and my brother?" Ginny looked very messy since her face was cover with alfredo sauce.

"I am going to send one tomorrow if I'm not to busy."

For the rest of the feast Hermione and Ginny talked about random things. Hermione wished the time would go faster, all she want was to lay down in her new bed and get some rest. It was finally time to see Mcgonagall about her new common room and she was more or less excited. Hermione got up and started towards the teachers table as soon as she saw Draco get up.

"Glad you decided to join me Granger."

"Not now Malfoy, I'm no mood for your games."

"Geez Granger what's got you so annoyed."

"Nothing, all I want is to lie down and go to sleep. So please just be quiet."

"Fine if it will put you in a better mood."

By the time they reached the teachers  table McGonagall was alresdy ready to show them to their new room.

"Follow me please Miss Granger and Mr. Malfoy."

they followed her to the East Wing where they stopped at a portrait of Snape and Dumbldore. The mere sight of the portrait put Hermione in a better mood. For some reason both Hermione and Draco  felt a tad bit relieved  knowing at least in portrait of Dumbledore has been saved from the last battle.

 "Professors how can this be I thought all the paintings had been destroyed by the death eaters."

 " well you'll  be glad to know Miss Granger a few were kept hidden and saved in a secret location. "

 "Well you all can continue this conversation after I show Miss Granger and Mr.Malfoy their new common room. Now, the password is lovely understood."

 "Yes  Headmistress but why lovely."

 " You'll figure it out soon enough Mr.Malfoy, so I'll leave you both to it. " And with that she was gone.

 "Shall we Malfoy."

 "After you Granger." Hermione spoke the word lovely and the door swing open , knocking Hermione backwards straight into Draco's arms. 

 "You ok there Granger?"

 " I'm quite alright Malfoy. "

 "Then shall we go in?" Draco helped her stand up straight again then gestured towards the doorway .

 "Yes we shall."
