It was two weeks before school started and there was already drama at the burrow. "Honestly Ronald you should have just told me you wanted to break up," Hermione exclaimed red with anger.   "I know,  I know but I didn't want to hurt you." " So you decided to cheat on me with Lavender behind my back!! Honestly Ron how stupid could you be?!" "Look Hermione, we both knew this would never last," Ron said trying to hold back a few tears, "I really love Lavender, can't we just be friends?" Hermione to a deep breath and unclenched her fist before speaking. "Ron you will always be one of my best friends and if being with Lavender makes you happy then you should be with her," Hermione said on the verge of tears. Ron's face lit up. He hugged Hermione with all his strength then said, " Hermione you truly are the most understanding friend a boy could ever ask for," and with that he rushed to tell is new girlfriend the news.

       Ginny and Harry had been standing outside the door the entire time and heard the whole thing. As soon as Ron left the room they rushed in. There they found poor heartbroken Hermione on the floor, back to the wall, crying her eyes out. Both friends engulfed her in a giant huge trying their best to comfort her. "At least he's smart enough to realize you are the greatest friend in the world and any guy would be lucky to date you," Ginny said trying to sooth her best friends pain. Harry nodded in agreement. They sat there in silence for what seemed like eternity until Hermione finally broke the silence. "I'm glad Ron is happy, he was right we were never gonna work out anyway." " But that still doesn't give the dumb jerk the right to cheat on you with that insufferiable Lavender Brown!" Ginny's face was red she wanted nothing more than to punch her brother for his stupidity. Harry tried to calm his girlfriend but Ginny was far from calm and he had to agree Ron had been quite a jerk.  Hermione let out a small chuckle, it was quite amusing to see Ginny's face the same color as her hair. As well as poor Harry trying unsuccessfully to calm her down. Hermione now smiled as she remember how they had survived the past few years because they  stuck together. Both Harry and thankfully Ginny were put at ease at the sight of Hermione's smile. Ginny took at a deep breathe before saying," look Mione, thanks for forgiving my arse hole of a brother but I can't promise that I won't punch him after you leave." "Ginny," Harry exclaimed. They all looked at on another than bursted out laughing. By the end of the night Hermione felt a lot better and she is glad that all the drama was over but little did she realize it was only just beginning.
