The Life of Alastor Moody (Biography)
Chapter 2
Today we are going to explain the life of Alastor Moody, who is more commonly known as Mad-eye Moody. Alastor was born in 1959 and he came from a pure-blood family. He was one of the best Aurors in the history of the Ministry of Magic. In his Hogwarts years, he didn’t have any friends or relationships, because he knew that if he wanted to become an Auror, he must have top grades. Therefore, he just spent his time studying. When the Order of the Phoenix was made, he was one of the first ones to join! A lot of people admired him for his job. His technique for dark wizards was “attack first and then ask the questions.” Now, let me tell you why he is called Mad-eye Moody. During the first wizarding war, he lost one of his eyes and replaced it with a magical one that was basically as powerful as the Deathly Hallows. That eye was really weird compared to other people’s eyes, and that’s why they started calling him “Mad-eye.” After the first wizarding war, he retired because after all of those dark wizards that he had captured, he started going mad and seeing enemies everywhere. He rejoined the Order in 1995 when Voldemort (and yes, I am not afraid to say his name) came back to life. Unfortunately, Mad-eye passed away on July 27th, 1997, while trying to save Harry Potter’s life. Mad-eye was killed by Voldemort himself.
