Vortex is furious with Thunder. Why can't he just understand that she was right? Why does he keep defending other hens? He just keeps ruining everything. Thunder is confused. Why is Texy so angry with everything? Why can't they just be friends again? And why is she so rude? The two birds grow together and apart as their lifeboat of two starts tipping with new arrivals try to get in and they will all have to find a way to live together and reconnect.

Chapter 7
Dear Diary,
Today was okay. Thunder wandered off after Moonbeam and I started chatting. Moonbeam told me her story while we took a dust bath. She said that she lived with four other chickens for a while, but they all were gone now, and she had to leave her house because she was starving to death, and lived under a Wingless’ coop for a while, and then one day the Wingless took her to one place, and another Wingless took her to another place, and then she wound up here. It was the longest speech I heard her make. It was very sad. But I have to go to bed now, so goodnight.

P.S. I think Moonbeam really likes me now.
P.S.S. Maybe I should call her Moony, like Thunder does.

Today Moony and Texy were talking up a storm. I got bored after a bit and went and hung out with Cinnamon and Cumin. Cinnamon is a bit scatterbrained and kept wandering off topic when she talked, but it was pretty nice hanging out with them. We sunbathed a bit too. I always thought that was a hen thing and that I was above it, but it was kinda relaxing. Texy’s being really great about everything, and I think Moony likes her, so that is a plus. That’s really it for now. Have a nice day!
