Vortex is furious with Thunder. Why can't he just understand that she was right? Why does he keep defending other hens? He just keeps ruining everything. Thunder is confused. Why is Texy so angry with everything? Why can't they just be friends again? And why is she so rude? The two birds grow together and apart as their lifeboat of two starts tipping with new arrivals try to get in and they will all have to find a way to live together and reconnect.

Chapter 6
Dear Diary,
Today I did the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I apologized to Thunder and Moonbeam. I told them I had been acting like a jerk and taking everything out on them. I think they forgave me. I chatted with Moonbeam a lot today. She’s really, really shy, but once I got a 10 word sentence from her, so I take that as a victory. And Thunder was awesome about all of it and was back to normal immediately. I think I made the right choice with my friends. Well, that’s really it.

FINALLY Texy apologizes. I was beginning to doubt she had the capability. Of course, I forgave her, because she’s pretty cool. Moony wasn’t so sure. When we were both alone she told me she didn’t really like Texy, but I convinced her to give Texy a chance. I hope they start liking each other and I don’t have to be a constant peacekeeper. That would get pretty irritating. But anyway, Moony started to warm up to Texy after they (and by they, I mean Texy [Moony is pretty shy]) chatted for a while. Thank the Chicken Lord for that.
