Vortex is furious with Thunder. Why can't he just understand that she was right? Why does he keep defending other hens? He just keeps ruining everything. Thunder is confused. Why is Texy so angry with everything? Why can't they just be friends again? And why is she so rude? The two birds grow together and apart as their lifeboat of two starts tipping with new arrivals try to get in and they will all have to find a way to live together and reconnect.

Chapter 4
Dear Diary,
Today a new hen showed up. She was placed in our pen by a Wingless. She looked around, slightly confused, for a minute, and then walked up to Thunder and me and kinda just stared for a minute. So of course I had to show my dominance with a good hard peck, which set Thunder off. He flew into a lecture about That Was Really Rude and Would You Want Someone To Treat You That Way I Thought Not. I left the situation before he got really wound up. By the way, the new hen’s name is Moonbeam. I learned that later.

How are ya, Diary?
Well, non-grumpy Texy was fun while she lasted. A new hen named Moonbeam (Who is all white, except for some black on her neck and tail) showed up and Texy snapped at her and stalked off. Okay, I might have snapped a little at her too, but I was tired of her nonstop rudeness this week. I miss the way we used to hang out, just chatting about random topics and fake trash-talking each other. Now, it’s completely different, and it’s all Texy’s fault.
