Diary of a Chicken (Book 2)
written by Buffykamikaze
Vortex is furious with Thunder. Why can't he just understand that she was right? Why does he keep defending other hens? He just keeps ruining everything. Thunder is confused. Why is Texy so angry with everything? Why can't they just be friends again? And why is she so rude? The two birds grow together and apart as their lifeboat of two starts tipping with new arrivals try to get in and they will all have to find a way to live together and reconnect.

Chapter 3
Dear Diary,
Today I’ve really cooled off and realized how jerky I’ve been in the past two days. I hope Thunder forgives me. He acted normal today when we were scratching around today, but there’s really no way to know. I kinda liked just hanging out without talking today. We haven’t done that in a while and I was thinking, “Why did we stop?” But anyway, it was an okay day.
Sincerely, Vortex.
Yo, Diary!
Today Texy was almost back to normal. She acted sad and guilty and was really quiet, but it was an improvement over bossy and snappy. I liked hanging out, but it was really quiet. I prefer talking over silence. I can’t remember the last time both of us were quiet for a long time. We could hear the crickets and voices from other chickens and sometimes even the ducks nonstop chatter. I could even hear my own thoughts. I wonder what’s up with Texy.
