Vortex is furious with Thunder. Why can't he just understand that she was right? Why does he keep defending other hens? He just keeps ruining everything. Thunder is confused. Why is Texy so angry with everything? Why can't they just be friends again? And why is she so rude? The two birds grow together and apart as their lifeboat of two starts tipping with new arrivals try to get in and they will all have to find a way to live together and reconnect.

Chapter 2
Dear Diary,
I HATE Cinnamon. She was lording around in the food area, so of course I had to defend myself with a good peck. But then she acted all confused AND THEN THUNDER DEFENDED HER! What is up with him this week? First he attacks me, then he sides with an opposing hen. I distanced myself from him while I cooled myself down. Maybe I’ll stay away from him tomorrow too. Yikes! It’s getting late.

Why is Texy so MAD this week? First she huffs off at me, then today she attacked Cinnamon, who did nothing but push a little! I told her that and she grumped off to the far corners of our pen and ignored everyone. Texy needs to cool it. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow. Welp, that’s really it.
