Chapter 8
THE LAST PART OF THE DUMBLEDORE FAMILY!
Albus Dumbledore sent little Harry to the Dursleys- his only living relatives. Because of Lily Potter's selfless sacrifice, the wizarding world was guaranteed ten years of peace. Unfortunately, the peace was shattered when eleven-year-old Harry Potter came to Hogwarts. Dumbledore had unknowingly hired a DADA teacher who was not only one of Tom's pet deatheaters, but Tom had possessed him. The first year went pass in a blur with Trolls, unicorn-sucking Dark Lords and a Philosopher's Stone. Albus had placed the Philosopher's Stone in Hogwarts and had also given Harry his father's invisibility cloak. Harry being the selfless person he was, went on an adventure with his friend Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. At the end of the year, Albus didn't tell Harry the reason as to why Lord Voldemort would kill his family which, he admitted was 'an old man's mistake'. By the end of Harry's fourth year, Lord Voldemort had once again risen but the Ministry did not believe that. So, Albus reformed his vigilant group and this time guarded a prophecy which he knew that Tom needed.
At the beginning of Harry's sixth year, Dumbledore made another mistake, but this time a fatal one- he found out the Gaunt Family Ring which housed the Resurrection Stone which supposedly had the power to bring back the dead. In a moment of elation to see his mother and sister again, Albus foolishly put the ring on his right hand. He didn't know that it had a flesh-rotting charm on it. Quickly, he called his unlikely ally- Potions Master and Professor Severus Snape who managed to slow down the poison but couldn't reverse the effects since it was an old curse. He told Albus that he had only one year to live.
Albus began Horcrux hunting and took Harry with him on June 30th 1997 to a cave where he was sure that Tom had hidden a piece of his soul. They found the Horcrux and when they returned to Hogsmeade, they saw the Dark Mark upon the Astronomy Tower. Quickly on making their way to the Tower, Albus realized that it was a ploy by Draco Malfoy whom he knew of to be a deatheater. The young Malfoy was given the task to murder Albus Dumbledore. But Albus knew this for he had already ordered his trusted spy Severus to kill him before Draco did so as to not to 'rip the poor boy's soul'.
Albus Percivial Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was murdered by Severus Tobias Snape on June 30th 1997.
So, yeah this is the life story of Albus Dumbledore- the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards (ICW).
