Lesson Four: Curses Study Guide
Chapter 5
The Leg-Locker Curse
Focus on your rival's legs being glued together. When using your willpower, you also have to watch for your rival's willpower. By using this spell, it won't completely stop your rival from casting other spells.
Incantation: Locomotor Mortis (LOH-cah-MOR-tor MOR-tiss)
Wand Movement: Flick down, left, then down & swish to the right
Concentration:Moderate
Willpower: Low to moderate
The Tongue-Tying Curse
Focus on the spell & your rival. The amount of willpower must be enough to control your rival's speech.
Incantation: Mimble Wimble (MIM-bull WHIM-bull)
Wand Movement: Lower right, upward curve to the left, loop down to the right, loop upward to the left, & end on the upper right.
Concentration: Moderate
Willpower: Low to moderate
The Full Body-Bind Curse
To cast this spell, you must gain control of your rival & force their body to become stiff. When casted properly, no light will emit out of your wand.
Incantation: Petrificus Totalus (peh-TRI-fif-cus toh-TAH-lus)
Wand Movement: Three-fourths of a circle, swish to the right, then a downward flick
Concentration/Willpower: Moderate
