Through the secret entrance they saw Harry, Ron, Hermione, most of Dumbledore's army and some other people that they knew. Luna wondered where they were, but Neville said that they were in the room of requirement. Then, more people came through the whole - Ginny, Fred and George Weasley, Lee Jordan (the person who commentated quidditch) and Cho Chang- Harry's old girlfriend. Harry asked if anyone knew about an object with Ravenclaws symbol on and Luna answered. She told him about the lost diadem of ravenclaw and said that she could take him to the ravenclaw common room to show him what it looked like. Harry agreed and so they went under Harry's invisibility cloak. They got in and Harry walked out of the cloak to the statute of Rowena Ravenclaw. Suddenly, behind them they heard a voice- the voice of the death eater Alecto Carrow. He summoned Voldemort.
Luckily, Luna stunned Alecto; they then heard her brother's voice from outside of the room trying to get in and their transfiguration teacher professor McGonagall trying to stop him. They managed to get through though but Harry knocked Amycus out and he and Luna came out from under the invisibility cloak. McGonagall was really surprised, but Harry told her that he needed to look for something on Dumbledore's orders and she agreed to evacuate the students. They got back under the cloak and hurried after her. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Snape appeared and started duelling McGonagall; the other teachers came and helped her but Snape got away. The teachers started putting protections all over the school so that when Voldemort came they would be able to fight him and Luna and Harry ran back to the room of requirement to tell everyone what had happened. There were a lot more people there than there had been when they'd left-the rest of Dumbledore's army and the order of the phoenix. Luna ran off with most of the other people to fight.

There were death eaters everywhere and people all around her, some on her side and some not. Out in the grounds she saw 3 patronuses flicker and go out and dementors gliding towards them. Luna saw 2 other people do the same thing as her -cast their patronus. Luna helped Harry cast his patronus and he managed to, but a giant started attacking them and they ran back to the fights.

A while later, Voldemort voice rang out high and cold "Harry Potter is dead" he said and it looked like he was, lying there on the ground without moving. Then Neville charged forward but Voldemort disarmed and tried to kill him but couldn't. Everyone started fighting again.

Luna, Ginny and Hermione all fought the same death eater -Bellatrix lestrange, but when a killing curse shot really close to Ginny they were knocked out of the way by her mum who started duelling Bellatrix. They ran to the side to watch with everyone else as Mrs Weasley won the duel. But Voldemorts best supporter was dead and he was very angry and so fired a killing curse at Mrs Weasley, which would have hit her if it wasn't for an invisible persons voice cry 'protago!' Harry came from under the invisibility cloak. He was alive and he and Voldemort circled eachother with their wands pointing at eachother. Harry said he didn't want anyone to help him and Voldemorts taunts didn't have any effect on him because he knew the full truth. Voldemort shot a killing curse at Harry, who responded with the disarming jinx. Voldemorts spell rebounded on himself and finally, after many years and many life's lost to him, he died - killed by his own rebounding spell. For a moment everyone was silent then they all rushed forward hugging him, hundreds of people all wanting to touch the boy who lived.

A while later, Harry was sitting on a bench next to Luna, who said that she'd want some peace and quiet if it were her. Harry replied that he'd love some so Luna distracted everyone by pointing at the window and saying that there was a Blibbering Humdinger while Harry put his cloak on and slipped away from everyone.
