Just after she had finished her end of year exams, she and Ginny heard shouting in a room next to them. They went in, and saw that Harry was shouting and Ron and Hermione were trying to calm him down. He said something about the ministry of magic and talking to someone called Sirius through the fire. They said that Luna and Ginny could help but they got caught and Neville tried to help them so the teacher caught him too. While the horrible teacher -Umbridge- went with Harry and Hermione to the forbidden forest, Luna, Ron, Ginny and Neville managed to fight the people holding them, get their wands and go into the forest. Harry was really stressed and angry and wanted to get to the ministry of magic to save Sirius. No one could think of how to get there. No one except Luna. She could see thestrals near them and knew that they had a great sense of direction so they flew on them to the ministry. Once they got in, they ran down to the department of mysteries and went through lots of doors to see which was the right one. They found it but Sirius wasn't there. Death eaters were though. Death eaters were the people who supported and worked for Voldemort; it had turned out it was all a trick that Voldemort had set. They were chased after and Luna went with Ron and Ginny into a room filled with planets. Ginny's leg broke and Ron got hit with a spell that made him go all funny. After finding the other three again Luna got knocked out by death eaters.
A day later she was in the hospital wing in Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville and Ginny. Harry's godfather had been killed by the death eaters and he was very upset. Finally everyone believed Harry that Voldemort was back and Luna got 50 points for Ravenclaw for helping show everyone he was. Her dad had sold the interview with Harry to the daily profit and they got enough money from for her and her dad to go on an expedition to Sweden to see if they could catch a Crumple horned Snorkack, which is an animal that no one believed existed except for Luna and her father. They didn't find one but Luna found it fun.
Luna didn't go to the end of year feast because people had hidden her belongings so she was putting up signs when she saw Harry. She told him about what happened to her mum and made him feel a little better about Sirius.
Luna had friends that she would keep for the rest of her life
