Chapter 2
Sara Lily Snape was walking among the corridors. She had joined Hogwarts with the third-years about a week ago. She was all settled in now. She had many friends, and although she was a Slytherin, most of her comrades were from Gryffindor. Sara’s fierce attitude and her passion for fighting caused Draco Malfoy to be her enemy. She didn’t care, though. She was very muscular, and many believed she could snap him like a twig. Underneath her scary, but beautiful looks and her ability to lash a hurtful insult, she was a big softie. She wouldn’t admit it, though. Sara wrote songs. Beautiful songs that people could relate to if she shared them.
“Hey, Fred! George! Got anything special planned?” Sara called out to the Weasley twins. “Oh, of course.” Fred grinned. “And I can help, right?” She asked. “Oh, of course.” George repeated Fred’s words. “Great.” She smiled. “Yeah, real great! Very witty!” Malfoy called out. Sara cracked her knuckles, turning around to face him. “Hello Malfoy. What brings you here on this glorious fall afternoon?” She smirked. “You better watch yourself, Snape. Or else-“
“Or else what? Your father will hear about this?” She questioned, the twins snickering. Draco stared at her, slack jawed. “You’re not worth my time.” He turned on his heel and walked away, Crabbe and Goyle scurrying behind him. “That’s what I thought.” Sara murmured.
She went to her favorite place: a tall tree near the Black Lake. She climbed up, a little notebook in her hand. In neat handwriting on the first page, it said: “Sara Snape’s Songs.” The pages that were filled were filled with the thing that Sara thought was the most important thing in the world: Music. There was song lyrics written on the pages. She flipped to the next blank page and began to write a song about trying to move on but not being able to. She sang the song softly to make sure it sounded right. But what she didn’t notice was that someone was watching her.
