Chapter 4
“Alex, get off my foot!” I hissed as we peered around the corner.
“Well if you would move…” she muttered as she budged over, “Anyways, coast is clear.”
“Okay then.” I sneaked around the corner, watching for anyone around. Hogwarts was BIG! It would take forever to learn my way around!
“Wait- REI! Where are we?” Alex looked around wildly. She looked like she was terrified. I peered around, too.
“No idea,” I commented.
“NO IDEA?” Alex cried out, jumping up. As she jumped, she knocked down a giant suit of armor.
CRASH!!
Alex and the armor fell through the ground tangled. Jumping, I grabbed her quickly, with the armor jangling, and dragged her behind a tapestry.
“What?” Alex hissed.
“I hear steps,” I quickly responded, shushing her. Alex could be way too loud sometimes. Of course, I had to shut her up. Or abandon her.
I’m a Gryffindor-of course I won’t abandon her.
Right?
Right.
That’s how I ended up facing four giants.
Okay, not giants.
But they were really tall!
Like five feet eight.
Yeah.
“Hey! I remember these two!” One girl spoke up. She seemed familiar. It was the prefect from before! Ashley!
“Well everyone remembers this one.” A tall, huge boy pointed at me. I gulped. “She walked in soaking wet and had a change of houses. Not exactly blending in.”
“Well it’s not my fault!”
Everyone turned to look at me.
Oops.
I blurt out things way too much.
I should go into therapy or something.
“Hmm...I like her. Let’s take her.” Take her? Were they going to kidnap me or something?
“No, if we were kidnappers then we wouldn’t leave...Alex?...here.” The tall, redheaded girl looked amused. Was that a good thing? I was so very confused.
