A Dream of Regrets

Chapter 2
Eloise got back to her dorm at about 4:00 in the morning. She wasn't sure what to think or how to feel... she was just numb. She wasn't exactly sad or angry anymore because she got to stay at Hogwarts, but she wasn't exactly excited either. Instead, she was scared, scared about what she had just agreed to do and scared about how it all was going to turn out.

She entered the common room quietly as not to wake up her fellow Hufflepuffs, and tip-toed over the sofa by the ever blazing fire. She plopped onto the pile of cushions heaped onto the couch and just sat there, not even sure where to start thinking. After a few moments, Eloise realized that she was still in her uniform. "Well I'm not going to be needing this anymore," she whispered to herself and crept towards the girl's dormitories to go and change. In the dim light, Eloise could make out the lumps that were her sleeping friends on the beds lining the walls. Soft Snores filled the room. It was surprisingly pleasant just being there.

Eloise quickly slipped into her normal outfit (black jacket, dingy t-shirt, ripped jeans, black & yellow striped socks, and black converse) and headed for the exit of the dormitory as fast as she could before she accidentally woke up someone -

Then everything went dark.

Eloise was now spying on her best friend, Amelia, from a distance, watching her interact with... Eloise? The sun shone brilliantly through the windows as the two friends walked together, arms linked, and almost skipping down the halls to get to class. Class? Wasn't it just night? Why is the sun up? Why am I seeing another me? Eloise was really confused, yet she seemed to know what was going on...

The two girls were disappearing quickly down the corridor, so Eloise jumped from her hiding spot and followed after them. She didn't want to lose them, she wanted to know what was going to happen, but did she already know what was going to happen? Eloise ran right into several people, knocking them off of their feet, as she continued to chase herself and her friend. The two bouncing heads quickly whipped out of sight around a corner, and just like that, Eloise lost them. "Where did we go?" Eloise asked herself aloud...

Then everything started to fade and swirl into some sort of mist that enveloped Eloise. She tried to escape, but it seemed to be attached to her, thwarting her from going anywhere. It a cool and somewhat pleasant mist, but at the same time, it was uncomfortable and made her squirm, as if the mist was actually a being trying to abduct her. Then all of a sudden, the mist vanished, and Eloise found herself right at the top of the stairs, Amelia and herself by her side. Eloise tried to tried to say something to them, but her voice wouldn't allow itself to be spoken. She tried to tap them on the shoulders, but her hand wouldn't quite reach that far. The two didn't even acknowledge her presence there.

Eloise was just about to yank her own dirty blonde hair when up the stairs came a tall, slender boy, with a look of mischief occupying his face. "Hey," he said and ran his through his blonde hair and leaned temptingly on the banister.

Eloise's blood started to boil. Felix! This was all now turning into deja vu, standing here at the top of the stairs with Amelia, talking to that slimy Gryffindor boy, the stairs -

Wait! Eloise said in her mind, hoping someone would hear. Don't do it Eloise! Redeem yourself!

"So, Amelia," Felix started in such a casual and innocent tone, "I was wondering, um, if you would like to go out with me?" He started flexing his muscles in a showy way. "You know, every girl is dying to get this offer. I mean - just look at -

"Shut up, jerk, she's not going to do that!" Eloise burst. Eloise cringed at herself yelling that, not believing that she actually did that.

Felix's face turned bright red with anger. He turned to face her. "No one asked you, twit! In fact, I don't think anyone will ever ask you!" Felix exploded into a fit of immature laughter, and Eloise stormed at him. She tried to grab herself by the arm, but she still wasn't able to touch herself, and even if she was able to, she would've been too late.

Eloise pushed Felix down the stairs.

Then there was a the same gasp coming from two different places, and Eloise found herself sitting on the floor of the dormitory, drenched in her own sweat.
