CONTINUATION OF THE DUMBLEDORE FAMILY!!
Fortunately or unfortunately, as Albus and Gellert wanted to start their quest for the Hallows, Aberforth interrupted- the idea of moving his sick sister did not sit well with him. This resulted in a duel and Arianna, being innocent and trying to help moved straight in the heart of the battle and take a Killing Curse which instantly killed her. Though it is unknown as to who cast the Killing Curse, during Arianna's funeral Aberforth shouted at Albus for killing Arianna and punched him in the face giving Albus the famous crooked nose.
After Arianna's death, Gellert went into hiding and Albus discovered how dangerous Gellert is. He went after Gellert and this resulted in a great duel also called the 'Legendary Duel between Dumbledore and Grindlewald'. Albus emerged victor holding Grindlewald's wand in his hand- the Elder Wand.
After this, Albus Dumbledore was hailed as a hero in the wizarding world because he ended one of the dangerous Dark Lords of their time. Though he did not kill Gellert. Albus imprisoned Gellert in his own prison for imprisoning his enemies- the Nurmengard Castle.
After that, Albus avoided politics and instead drowned himself in research- one of his more notable ones being the twelve uses of Dragon's blood with Nicholas Flamel. In 1913, Albus was appointed as the Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts by Professor Dippet and by 1965, he was the Hogwarts Headmaster. In 1938, Tom Marvolo Riddle was admitted in Hogwarts. While the other teachers were impressed by the model student, Albus was alarmed by his cruel acts- one of the more notable ones being the release of the monster, later realized as the basilisk, from the Chamber of Secrets, though it was never confirmed since the then sixteen-year-old Tom blamed Rubeus Hagrid, a half giant Gryffindor third year. Hagrid was expelled but Dumbledore let him work as the groundkeeper of Hogwarts. Tom soon started to get fascinated by the similar ideas of Pureblood supremacy, collected trophies and looked for a way to cheat death & created a new name- Lord Voldemort. After Grindlewald's defeat with Dumbledore's hands in 1945, Albus became the only one Tom feared.
In the 1970's, when Voldemort and his pets*ahem*deatheaters went to war and the ministry couldn't cope, Albus started a vigilant group called the Order of the Phoenix. The most noticeable of them were The Marauders, Lily Evans Potter, Prof. McGonagall and the Prewett twins. They fought hard against the deatheaters and suffered tremendous losses. The most grievous of them were the Prewett twins and the Potters.
In 31st October 1981, the 'First Wizarding War' came to an end when Lily Evans Potter sacrificed herself for her son- Harry Potter the 'boy-who-lived'.
