Hippocamp, Doxies & Pixies

Chapter 7

Hippocampi:




  • live an average of forty-five years




  • Male hippocampus are called Stalfish, while female hippocampi are called Marfish.




  • There between four to six feet long, depending on the species




  • strictly herbivores, and eat different types of aquatic vegetation, like seaweed and ferns




  • head and forequarters of the animal are that of a horse




  •  while the tail and hindquarters are that of a fish.




  • times of overpopulation, they will also eat coral, though this is a last resort.




  • live in the Mediterranean area

Doxies:




  • found throughout America and Northern Europe.




  • Doxies prefer colder weather 




  • eating the foliage from the trees and bushes around them, and different insects and arachnids that they find in their environment




  • resemble a small human, averaging between five and six inches tall




  • thick black hair covering its entire body, also has an extra pair of arms and legs.




  •  They have five fingers and five toes on each hand. Doxy wings are thick and curved, shiny 




  • amazingly, extremely sharp teeth. These teeth are incredibly venomous




  •  lay up to five hundred eggs and bury them in the snow




  • There eggs are used for girding Potion, or the endurance potion




Pixies:





  • small, electric blue creatures that grow up to eight inches tall




  • native to Cornwall, England.




  • they eat plants and protein




  • Known to be very mischievous 




  • , you can use the Freezing Charm to freeze them and move them into a cage, or different environment
