Bowtruckles & Fairies
Chapter 3
Bowtruckles:
tree guardians, about the size of a human hand
Resemble a stick in order to blend in with their home tree, or the tree they are guarding, and have two razor sharp fingers on each hand, which are used to defend themselves and their home tree against an attacker
Are classified as XX by the Ministry of Magic.
Only be distracted by one thing: food.; Woodlice and fairy egg
Have bones like birds. They are very lightweight because they are filled with an air cavity instead of bone marrow.
200 C.E. to 450 C.E., the time is inexact due to records, a wizard enchanted sticks for his personal amusement
Fairies:
small, human-like creatures with wings that are found throughout the world
range anywhere from one to five inches in height
important to the wizarding world because of their use in potions.
Constantly grooming themselves and getting very perturbed when their wings are removed because they believe it makes them ugly.
live in forests, so any indoor habitat should contain plenty of bushes or small trees
Feed off of leaves, and will consume any and all leaves. Fairies are mildly intelligent, and if they see a certain type of leaf is causing them pain or illness, like the leaves of poison ivy, they will not consume the leaves anymore
Larvae wings are very small, and barely visible. Most are not born with wings, though there are some exceptions and their wings color are pale green
Adult fairy wings reach past the fairy's feet, and extend over the fairy's head and their wings color come in a wide range of very vibrant colors, like orange and blue
