The wind comes fast and little Mary Jones is knocked of her feet. She stands up, but her hair get in her way. Marys hair is orange the color of a sunset. Its down to the middle of her legs.She stumbles upon her door step. KNOCK! Mary banged own her bright yellow door.

Marys mother Jane, opens the door to let her daughter in. ''There's something for you on the kitchen,'' Mary jumps to her feet and rip's the letter open, without bothering to read the front. Her face falls. She looks as if she has been told she is a witch. Witch, she was just told.

Mary puts down the letter slowly then looks up at her mother, who is wearing a very worried look. Mary sit on the cold floor, which is so cold, it caused her to jump up. She looks at her father, who is sharing her mothers worried look.''WILL ONE OF YOU SAY SOMETHING!!!'' Mary bellows. Her parents jumped at this sudden voice, that was so unlike their little Mary. They opened and closed their mouth, clearly searching for words.''Um, Well what do you think? Would you like to go?" Her mother asked quietly. "OF COURSE I DON'T WANT TO GO!!! WHY WOULD YOU THINK I WOULD! IF YOU WANT TO, YOUR WELCOME TO TAKE MY PLACE!" Mary now had tears rolling down her cheeks. She marched up to her room, her hair behind her, that was now stuck to her cheeks.

Mary slammed the door, with a suprising amount of strength, and sat down in her small little room. Without bothering to change, Mary jumped onto her bed and fell asleep rather quickly. Her orangey hair glowed behind her, acting like a viel, a shield from evil.
