Gone
Chapter 3
{This is based off of my Grandpa dying. R.I.P}
I always spent my time with you,
At parks, at stores, at everyplace.
We always laughed and joked as if there was nothing blue,
Like every moment was like a soft embrace.
Sometimes there were hard times
When it felt as if there was nothing good,
But when you came around with your dimes,
I smiled because I must’ve misunderstood.
Now you are gone,
What’s left of the happiness?
I sat around my house all the time,
Didn’t smile, didn’t laugh.
It all felt so wrong, drinking my lime,
Without you there to comfort me with your eyeglass.
I wish you were here with me,
So there would be no worry.
Sitting in your old chair with your knee
And no hurry.
Now you are gone,
What’s left of the happiness?
I just can't help but not understand,
Why you were taken from me.
I knew you were old and it was good for you but I don’t give a damned.
I love you to the moon and back that I guarantee.
Can you just come back for a short visit?
I really don’t know how long I can’t see your smile.
You just don’t wanna come down, is it?
Well I will just have to run half a mile.
Now you are gone,
What’s left of the happiness?
I always spent my time with you,
At parks, at stores, at everyplace.
We always laughed and joked as if there was nothing blue,
Like every moment was like a soft embrace.
