Chapter 5
What Saron had heard was the Librarian. "Did you turn in that book yet?" She asked in her crackly suspicious voice. "Yes. I have, and I apologize for it being somewhat overdue. May I check out this one?" She asked. The Librarian sneared. "Yes. Just make sure you get it back on time." She replied and shuffled away. Saron stuffed the book into her bag and walked into the corridor. As she walked, she heard the sounds of a fight. As she got closer, she soon saw what the commotion was. Two boys were bullying a smaller boy because he was muggle born and using jinxes on him. The taller one saw Saron and growled. It was the boy from before. "YOU! You set your crazy friend on us, you crummy alien. Now you're gonna PAY." He said and spun his wand towards her. "Diffindo!" He said just as Saron ducked. The spell had been aimed at her face but instead caught the outside edge of her ear. She bit her lip, hard, as she stumbled backwards and drew blood, adding to the blood already dripping from her ear. It's important to note that her blood is green, and the reaction of the bullies was quite called for, as they became startled and ran away. The boy they were bullying also ran, but in a different direction. Saron walked down the hallway like nothing happened, intending to go back to her dormitory.
Saron stood outside in a black turtleneck and a thick winter coat, along with black pants, tall winter boots, and a gray beanie. The Gryffindor boys were tossing her book about Lethifolds between the two of them. The taller one stopped to open a page at random. " 'Almost always shrouded in complete darkness', aye? Sounds a lot like you, freezer box." He laughed as he tossed it back to his friend. Saron just stood calmly with her hand held out, unmittened and tinted green. "Again, I must request to have my book returned." She said calmly, though her eyes flickered for a moment with unspoken anger. The second boy held it up tauntingly. "You want it? Come and get it, Snowflake!" He said as he tossed it between his hands.
Saron sat at the Ravenclaw table, which was mostly empty, playing wizard's chess with a house ghost. "Queen to E5." She said, and her piece destroyed the ghost's King. "Checkmate." The ghost grumbled. "Fifth time in a row. I'm done with losing." He said and floated away. Saron reset the chessboard, than tried to figure out how she could play against herself. A group of Gryffindor boys stood by and watched her, than approched after a while. "Hey baby, wanna hang with me sometime?" The tallest one said. Saron looked at him and tilted her head. "No, I would prefer to be alone." She said deadpan. He frowned as she returned to the chess board. He tried again. "I don't think you understand the opportunity you're passing up." He said, moving in front of her. Saron frowned and stood up. "I know perfectly well the decision I'm making." She said and tried to walk away. He stopped her in her tracks. "Hey, let's not be hasty, now." He said and grabbed her wrist. She pulled out of his grasp and stepped back as the other boys formed a wall behind her. "I am very capable of making my own decisions." She said, than turned around to leave, but the other boys stopped her. "What's the problem, freezer box?" The boy said, stepping up to her. Saron considered trying to fight her way out, but decided against it. Than she saw someone else approaching
