Well, this is kinda what happened. Ginny loved Harry the first time she saw him, but he didn't love her back. Sad, right? Anyway, Ginny pretended to abandon her huge crush on him, and they were just friends. Then, in the sixth year, Harry started to have a big crush on Ginny, but he had to hide it from Ron. She had already dated like, a thousand boys (and broke up with all of them). So, not exactly love at first sight. Then, when Gryffindor won the quidditch match, Harry kissed Ginny when she tried to hug him, then they started dating. In the seventh book, Harry breaks up with Ginny for her own safety. Then, when Harry defeats Voldy, they get married and have three kids; Albus, James, and Lily.
