On the Train ride to Hogwarts Hermione met Neville Longbottom who asked her to help him find Trevor his toad. While looking for Trevor she met Harry and Ron. They got off on the wrong foot....
When it was time to be sorted the sorting hat seriously considered putting her in Ravenclaw the house of intelligence, but the hat thought that her bravery trait was more significant so she got placed in GRYFFINDOR!
Hermione outshone her fellow classmates, and was called the brightest witch of her age. She did however struggle with her flying lessons unable to make her broom come to her hand as it was supposed to, merely just rolling over on the grass.
Hermione was a very big stickler for rules so the following comes as no surprise....
Hermione overheard Ron and Harry plotting to sneak out to duel Malfoy. Hermione was about to tell Ron’s older brother Percy, who was a prefect. She then thought better and decided to confront them before they left. She followed them out of the portrait hole which closed behind them forcing her to go with them. It turned out to be a set up by Malfoy, and they ran to the forbidden corridor where they came face to face with Fluffy a three-headed dog, after the incident Hermione was the only one who realised the dog was guarding a trapdoor. Once they came back after escaping Fluffy, Hermione made her legendary line.
One day Hermione overheard Ron making fun of her, she bumped into Ron (on purpose) and went into the bathroom where she cried all day. She told Parvati that she wanted to be left alone, and she didn’t go to the Halloween feast. During the feast a troll was led into the school, and Ron and Harry realized that Hermione didn’t know about it and that she was in danger. The three ended up facing the troll and knocking it out when it fell it caused a loud bang which alerted the teachers. Then Hermione did something that was unbelievable she told a lie to the teachers to cover up for Ron and Harry. Since that day on the three became the best of friends.
