Diagon Alley was the first glimpse of the wizarding world that Hermione had ever gotten. She got the books she needed for class as well as a few others, a wand from ollivanders, robes, and other school supplies. Hermione had read all the books that she had gotten for her classes, and other books, she had picked up to learn more about the wizarding world. She learned all the spellbooks by heart and managed to perform a few simple spells which is unheard because most need instruction to channel their magic.
