Chapter 15
Fred & George Weasley
Fred and George Weasley were mischievous twin wizards born on 1 April 1978 to Arthur Weasley and Molly Weasley. Although Fred was a bit older the two were both brilliant pranksters that co-founded and ran the joke shop Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. They were members of both Dumbledore's Army and the Order of the Phoenix. As two of the seven Potters, Fred and George do their best to alleviate the task of transferring Harry with their usual stream of jokes. Even when George loses his ear, it doesn’t stop him. Making jokes in dire circumstances shows how brave George is: giving his family permission to laugh and showing that the injury hasn’t changed him. George Weasley was Fred’s twin, best friend, and partner in crime. They were about as close as two brothers can be. They did just about everything together. They often finished each other’s sentences and spoke in a back and forth way that could confuse others at times. Together, Fred and George designed many ingenious pranks and shared the ambition to find a joke shop together. They were also both Beaters for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and close friends with Lee Jordan. George was devastated when Fred died. Arthur, Fred, George, and Ron all arrive at the home, leading Fred and George to trick Harry’s cousin Dudley into trying a Ton Tounge Toffe they’ve been developing for their future joke shop. Dudley’s tongue swells to about three feet long before Arthur can persuade Dudley’s parents to let him shrink it back to regular size. Fred and George found their niche in the Weasley family as the mischief-makers, the rebels, and the jokers. They are the only set of twins in the family and their bond is irreplaceable. They had the nerve to pull off ridiculous stunts and their love for pranks made them the only wizards Peeves The Poltergeist actually took orders from.
