Chapter 12
How they saved Regina

Do you remember Regina Darlyn? You know, the girl who saw Neville, trying to stop his friends from sneaking out, the girl, who finally spoked to Ron Weasley at her birthday party? (If not, make sure you read the creative corner in #17 and #20 issues of Weekly Magic). Today, she’s back with another story!

It was a cloudy morning, the sun was hiding, it didn’t want to come out. It’s been like this for about five days now. Regina was lying in her bed, looking out of the window. She coughed a bit and pulled the blanket all the way up to her neck. She was sick. Not very sick, but sick enough for Madam Pomfrey to make her stay in her bed, drinking tea and not going to classes.
Suddenly, the door opened and someone sang: “Good morning!” it was Meryl. Regina smiled and Meryl threw herself on the bed. “We just had Potions” she said “It was… pretty bad. Seamus’ potion exploded again, luckily, mine turned out fine.” They chatted for a while and then, it was time for History of Magic. Meryl rushed out of the room, she was already late. Regina was in her fifth year currently. It was a lot of fun, she actually started to hang out with Hermione (not often, but sometimes) and she spoked to Ron for about four times!

A few days passed and Regina was as good as new. She wasn’t sick anymore and she could finally go to classes (not to mention, that she spent the whole night, doing the assignments, essays and studying). It was Wednesday, she was just walking down the halls with Meryl, when someone tripped her. She fell, all of her books flew to the air. She heard the laugh.

You know, that mean laugh. It was Pansy. Meryl shouted: “Screw yourself Parkinson!” and helped Regina to stand up and pick up her stuff. “Maybe you shouldn’t be that mean” she whispered to Meryl. You know, Regina was a very shy girl, she was scared of bullies, while Meryl wasn’t. She wanted to protect her friend but she understood her fears. “Don’t worry Reg, nothing’ll happen. She deserves to hear those words” she laughed. Regina chuckled as well and they quickly forgot about everything.

But what happened on Saturday was the last thing Regina expected. She was getting back from a quidditch match alone, since Meryl got sick now. “Oh, I hate that weather” she said to herself since everything was still cloudy, it started to rain. Suddenly, someone tripped her (again). And, you won’t believe who it was (again). Pansy Parkinson of course! But she wasn’t alone this time. Her friends were around her and they all laughed to Regina. Regina got up, she thought that was it but it wasn’t. One of the girls pushed her to the ground, her coat got all dirty and covered with mud. They started to call her bad names, kicking her and laughing.

“Leave her alone!” someone shouted. It was Hermione and she wasn’t alone. Harry and Ron were standing right next to her, with their wands in the air. Pansy rolled her eyes and yelled back: “And who are you to tell me what to do? Are you going to tell your poor dad about this Weasley? And you Potter, oh right, your parents are dead”. Harry, Ron and Hermione ran to Regina, the girls tried to push them away but they didn’t move back. Hermione helped Regina to get up, while suddenly, someone shouted: “What’s happening there? Making trouble again Parkinson?” it was Hagrid. The mean girls rolled their eyes and ran to the castle.
“Thanks guys, thanks Hagrid” Regina said and hugged Hermione. Ron tapped her shoulder and asked: “Are you okay?” that was amazing.

In the evening, Regina told Meryl about everything that happened, they laughed while Meryl was showing her how to beat Pansy up the next time (which she of course didn’t do).
That’s another Regina’s story, I hope you liked it. Don’t forget to stand up for yourself and your friends.
