The House
Chapter 1
~Lynn's POV~
All night the only thing I could hear was the screaming of my parents fighting, I was scared so I woke up and I went to the corner of my room and hid there because at any point I knew my dad was gonna come up here and try to drag me out of my bed just to throw me outside like he would do every night which explains all the bruises on me, but I got pretty use to it. So this morning I was sleeping on the porch swing when my "dad" came outside and dragged me off of it, not even carrying how bad I hit the wood floorboards. He dragged me up the stairs and threw me in my room and threw a piece of glass at my face and it started to bleed but he didn't care he walked right out of my room and slammed the door, went downstairs and started screaming at my mother as soon as she got home from work.
"YOUR A WORTHLESS PERSON YOU DO NOTHING RIGHT, YOUR ALWAYS LAZY AND NEVER DO ANYTHING AROUND THE HOUSE" he screamed at her
"WELL AT LEAST I'M NOT A DRUNK LIKE YOU,"
My little sister ran into my room with me, I shut my door and gave her headphones so she didn't have to hear them fight. All I could hear was them screaming at each other then I heard the echo after every fight of him slapping her right across the face. I put my sister on my bed and went to the bathroom to clean my face up and I locked the door when I was done cleaning up my face and I called Anna hoping she would answer and my "dad" wouldn't hear the phone ring because he doesn't like me talking to my friends.
"Ring" "Ring" Line connecting
"Hey, what's up Lynn," she asked
"It's happening again, h-he threw glass at me then went to yell at my mother and ended up smacking her,"
"Lynn, i'm so sorry. Is he near you at all?"
"No, I locked myself in the bathroom and I locked Rose in my room with my headphones so she couldn't hear them fight,"
"Well at least Rose is safe. She is so little and she has really sensitive ears to them fighting,"
"Yea, I think I hear him coming up the stairs, got to go, bye,"
"Bye,"
I hang up and unlocked the door slowly and saw him walking up the stairs and I quickly ran to my room and covered Rose with the blanket to make sure he couldn't see here and I sat in front of her so he couldn't see she was there. I locked my door sat next to her I could tell he got to the door because it started to unlock and he opened it, he came in and locked it behind him.
